There has been so much hype about the new Parq Vancouver. I’ve heard incredible things, so I was excited to see for myself what it was all about…! Keep reading to find out more details from my amazing experience. 😉
Now let me tell you….. the hype is VERY well deserved. Since Gary and I are both so busy, we have a tough time going on vacation as often as we’d like to. Regardless, it is still SO important for us to make time for each other in our busy schedules. This is why I love staycations. They are the perfect opportunity to spend quality time together.
We both do a lot of work from home. So actually getting out of the house together – and away from all things work – is a priority for us. We try to go on a staycation together at least once a month. Now let me tell you about Parq. Parq is Vancouver’s one-stop-shop for a night out. It has eight world-class restaurants and lounges, 2 luxury hotels, and one state-of-the-art casino. Can you say FUN?!!!
We stayed at the new Douglas Hotel. The room was beautiful – it boasted lots of natural light and masculine decor. Aside from that, the service was first-class. My favourite thing about our Parq stay – other than spending quality time with Gary – was how insanely comfortable the beds are… I seriously had the best sleep of my life. I’m not sure if it was the fact that I was sleep deprived, the ideal comfort of that bed, or how dark the room was but that sleep was out of this world… almost heavenly.
We had dinner at The Victor. Gary said the lobster and crab bisque was the best he’d ever had. They also had really delicious caviar. Staycation or not, we’ll definitely be going back to Parq to stop by The Victor again. I can’t wait to try the other seven restaurants. I love having the chance to unwind and spend some time with the man I love. I’ll be dreaming of the beds at Douglas Hotel tonight. Next time we’ll need to make some time for the casino ;). Not to toot my own horn, but I’m pretty good at craps.
Have you guys tried any of the other restaurants? Which one is your fave?
