Let’s be honest, no accessory has the ability to elevate an outfit or lock in your look quite like a watch does. In the days of tear-away adidas track suits you secured the athleisure look with a chunky G-Star. More recently, an oversized Michael Kors immediately put you on trend and the simply designed Daniel Wellington could transform a lazy jeans and white tee to the picture of pure elegance. Well not quite, but you get it. The timepiece says it all.
When it comes to investing in your next timepiece you want it to be worth it’s salt now and something you will wear in the future. While the watch can– and should— be on trend, you definitely want it to feel like more of an investment in your wardrobe.
I’ve achieved this balance with my Lachlann Första watch. To say it was love at first sight is an understatement! At $180USD, it’s an investment but the versatility of the style makes it a watch you can wear with multiple outfits—adding that extra bit of sophistication to your day. Especially on those days when you’ve exploded your closet looking for the right outfit and still can’t quite figure out what to wear– hello, Monday.
The clean face comes in gold, silver and rose gold—I’ve gone with rose gold and silver as my skin tone falters to the cooler side. I love that it’s simple design also includes additional 60 second, 30 minute and 24 hour counters. Not that I necessarily need those but that they add a layer of depth and interest to the overall design.
I particularly love the Lachlann Första for my fall and winter wardrobes because of the luxe black leather strap. The contrast of the rich leather grain against a cozy sweater is perfect. It adds another element of texture that complements the season’s soft knits. Its subtlety makes this a versatile addition to any wardrobe.
If you’re not sure which Lachlann Första to get — the struggle is real– check out the inside of your wrists. Do your veins appear blue or green? If they tend to look more blue/purple, you’re cool-toned—opt for the silver. If green, you’re warm-toned—gold all the way! If you can’t quite tell, you’re probably neutral and might want to try the rose gold. The Lachlann Första is a great way to update your fall wardrobe, keeping it subtly on trend yet completely timeless. It’s also a unisex design so feel free to gift it to your significant other and “borrow” it from time to time.
