The Shoe Your Athleisure Collection Needs

Natalie Langston

With the rising popularity of the fitness trackers and step counters it’s amazing to see how many people are going out of their way to walk to meetings, dinner dates and even fitness classes. Taking fitness outside of designated ‘workout time’ and bringing it into your every hour is inspiring! While adding fitness more frequently is admirable, reaching the American Heart Association recommending a minimum of 10,000 steps a day is no cake walk! 10,000 steps a day requires intention and frankly, the proper footwear.

When you’re squeezing in as many walks as you can, you don’t have time to change into and out of your trusty runners, nor do you want to. Those bright, beautiful runners don’t always match your work wear attire and really, they’re not meant to! ECCO Shoes has designed Cool 2.0 and not only do I love the look of this collection—the style pairs perfectly with my day-to-day athleisure outfits, but being a true blue Vancouverite I have to tell you these are waterproof! ECCO is known for their comfortable design and this is one shoe that I love for everyday wear. It knocks down two huge barriers for Vancouverites to get outside and get their steps in: one you’re always prepared, no carting around an extra set of shoes and two, they’re waterproof—puddle jump to your heart’s content. No more excuses is a beautiful thing!
