Spring is right around the corner and you all know what that means…. PATIO SEASON. Okay maybe I’m getting just a little bit ahead of myself. Let’s start by putting away our Canada Goose jackets. All in favour of switching to items that make us look – and FEEL – like spring is in the air say “Aye”! (AYE!)

With that being said, we as Vancouverites know that with April flowers comes May SHOWERS. However, it can be challenging to find a jacket that is both functional and stylish on wet days! Why hello there rainy weather…. you don’t scare me. 😉 I’ve put together a list of my jacket MUST-HAVES for this spring, as well as some spring trends that I just need to let you in on.

Shine as bright as a tulip this Spring! I’m loving jackets that are a fire-engine red, sunshine yellow, or a saturated orange. For something bold, nothing brings brightness to a rainy day like a gorgeous yellow or red yellow coat. This yellow piece is from from Mackage and the red jacket is from Noel Asmar Equestrian.

This spring we are loving nature tones! Dusty rose, robin’s egg blue, and muted lilac are just a FEW of the shades that are hot this season. I’m loving this baby pink trench coat from RW&CO. RW&CO creates so many beautiful and timeless pieces. Check their entire site out HERE!

Baby blue or mint green looks AMAZING on everyone – especially you blue-eyed lovelies! 😉 Check out this amazing jacket from Orb Clothing. This jacket is the definition of cute and functional.

I also can’t get enough of this bright pastel pink jacket from Mackage. This piece is business-chic and can take you from the office to happy hour. 😉 I never complain when my jacket matches my rosé!

For those of us who love neutrals, Sentaler has you COVERED. This coat is a favourite of Meghan Markle, and if it’s good enough for a princess, it’s good enough for me. 😉

This neutral earth tone SOIA & KYO coat will surely turn heads! Nothing says spring like a fresh moss coloured jacket. I LOVE a green coat for spring.

Every lady needs accessories that accentuate her own personal style! I love to add a warm scarf, or a statement bag, to truly finish off a look! Due to the uncertain nature of our spring weather, it’s always smart to bring accessories that will keep you warm and DRY. Umbrella, anyone?! 🙂

Check out this amazing Sentaler Wrap if you’re interested in finding your new favourite scarf!

Carrying a statement bag that’s a bright tone will always add a POP to your outfit. This RW&CO bag comes in pastel pink, bright yellow, and moss green. It’s ironic that it comes in the spring colours we’ve mentioned, isn’t it? 😉 It’s also an incredible affordable option.

Natalie’s Spring Shopping Tips:

  1. If you’re living in a rainy climate – like Vancouver – pick materials that are water resistant. You’ll feel SO much better when you arrive at your destination dry.
  2. USE YOUR ACCESSORIES TO STAY WARM. Adding a scarf or gloves keeps you cozy – without sacrificing your style!
  3. Invest in a QUALITY jacket like the kind I’ve mentioned above. When you invest in your own personal style, you’ll have a durable wardrobe staple that doesn’t need to be replaced as often.
  4. Choose a fun pastel – or a bright colour – to add a POP to your wardrobe. If you’re uncertain about investing in a pricier jacket, check out Forever 21 or H&M for affordable options. It’s an awesome way to try out a few styles before committing to a more expensive piece.

I hope you all go forth and conquer your spring activities in style. <3 Like always, remember to pick pieces that make YOU feel your most beautiful. A smile is the prettiest thing a woman can wear! What colours are you guys loving for Spring? Leave me a comment below, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
