I don’t know about you guys but are you feeling that your hair is a bit more dry, damaged and unmanageable these days? Well I sure was and I have to be honest I’m pretty hard on my hair especially during the summer. I’m styling it constantly for work with heating tools and tons of hairspray and product, swimming in the ocean or in the salt water pool at my mom’s and throwing it up in a ponytail, braid or a bun for sure has been hard on my ends. So of course I went to my friends at La Biosthetique to give my hair a little love.
As we move into the cooler, cloudier fall months we need a little repair work from the wear and tear on the hair from the summer. Those long, hot days with the intense heat and ultraviolet rays of the sun, along with the drying effects of wind and chlorine from swimming pools, can cause serious damage to our lovely locks. But don’t distress too much since there are some excellent products out there to help repair some of that summer damage.
For some effective hydration try La Biosthetique’s Hydrating Spa Fluid. This hydrating leave-in cream is great for all hair types. Hyaluronic acid, which is used for the first time in hair care that binds moisture is essential for hair’s flexibility and shine. Sunflower oil acts as a radical trap and strengthens the hair’s resistance to breakage and split ends. The fine oil from the sacha inchi nut from Peru carries essential oils like omega three and six fatty acids which nourishes the hair and adds elasticity. Leave-in care emulsion strengthens the hair lengths, provides softness and gives long hair ultimate protection.
Use: after shampoo and conditioner apply a quarter amount into the hair, massage in and follow up with your regular routine. For split ends I like to use Silky Spliss Repair. Just use a pea sized amount on your hair ends, that seals porous hair ends, smooths and protects them against further dehydration. I also like to use La Biosthetique’s Heat Protector to of course protect my hair from styling tools, but it also provides sleekness, softness and shine.
For a structure building intensive treatment for dry and damaged hair try La Biosthetique’s Creme Reparatrice. The cream stimulates deep regeneration, actively promotes structural improvement and regenerates the protein balance. Hair’s moisture is sealed in and colour vibrancy, natural or coloured, is improved. This product is recommended in salons to use during and after summer to repair the damage from chlorine, salt and sun. It can even be applied as an overnight treatment after shampooing the hair, or simply rinse out after 20 minutes.
Now you are armed to take on the rainy and windy fall weather and you’ll be covered for even the depths of winter. I like to go to Black2Blond in Kitsilano for my La Biosthetique product needs but there are a variety of locations where you can pick up these items. Just go here for more details and the location nearest you.
How do you keep your hair shiny and smooth this time of year?
