Harrison Hot Springs Resort and Spa is one of my favourite places to getaway to. It feels a world away and is only an hour and a half drive from the city. Harrison is the cutest little destination offering rest and relaxation with the healthful benefits of the healing hot springs. At least once a month I love to leave the city and head out to the valley for some rest and to recharge my batteries.
As soon as we arrived the staff at Harrison Hot Springs Resort and Spa greeted us with a warm welcome and immediately equipped us with comfy, lush bathrobes and extra towels for the spa, hot tub, pool and hot springs. They even went ahead and made dinner reservations for us at the Copper Room, which I was very impressed by. Our rooms were spacious, clean attractively decorated and very comfortable. The wine and cheese were lovely to kick start our weekend getaway and the chocolate treats definitely did not go to waste.
A trip to the hot springs to any one of their five therapeutic mineral hot pools before and after dinner is always a must, so be sure to bring along more than one swim suit! Just look at how gorgeous the grounds are.
There are a variety of options that you can book at the spa with a menu of stress-relieving, immune-system boosting, energy-building and rebalancing treatments. Everything you could want is at the spa, from massage to skincare treatments, mud baths, all natural hot springs spa treatments, express services and makeup applications. I recommend booking a couple weeks prior to your stay as the spa tends to get pretty booked up during the summer months.
As our relaxing day continued we got all dressed up to go to dinner in the Copper Room. It was a bit of a throwback vibe with a live band and lots of dancing. The food was excellent, the elegant atmosphere was lovely and both young and old couples were having fun, dancing the night away. If you prefer to take it easy, there are some great options for food to take out or dine at one of the many fantastic restaurants around Harrison Village.
Waking up to the peaceful sounds of birds chirping combined with the calmness that nature provides is incredibly soothing to me. I like to get up early and sip my coffee on the balcony while I take it all in. We love to walk along the lakeshore, grab a coffee or an ice cream at the gelato parlour and breathe in the fresh air. This is great to do at any point during your stay or spend some time hiking the forested scenic trails located conveniently around the quaint, lovely little town of Harrison Hot Springs.
No matter the season, Harrison is always a great choice for a wonderfully, relaxing, fun weekend getaway and I just happened to celebrate my birthday while we were there. It was fabulous!!
