One of my favourite spots these days for a little beauty restoration and self-care has definitely got to be BRUSH SALON!! You really appreciate these things once months and months go by going without. I only have amazing things to say about Michael and the team at BRUSH Salon. BRUSH Salon was founded by Michael Gibson and Calvyn Cass. It is a family owned & operated salon that offers the latest hair techniques & modern looks. They are also an environmentally conscious salon and are a part of green circle salons, a program that disposes of salon waste in the most ethical way possible. Another reason why I stand behind BRUSH Salon!! 

I highly recommend checking them out for your hair care needs. BRUSH Salon is completely set up to maintain safe social distancing and proper COVID health precautions. I felt comfortable, safe and truly taken care of when I’m there. Their hair stylists always nail my colour every time and John is the only person I’ve ever let convince me to cut it all off. I am VERY careful with who I let touch my hair, let alone cut it off, something I haven’t done since I was 3 years old, and John was the perfect stylist to give me this new look!! My hair feels so healthy and shiny from the treatments that we do at BRUSH Salon to bring hydration to the hair. The cut has brought so much bounce to my hair and feels light and fresh. Brush Salon has two locations to choose from, East Van or Gastown. Both locations are beautiful and they really ensure the quality of their work while prioritizing the health of your hair!! You won’t be disappointed. I can’t wait for you to experience the amazing benefits your hair will reap from their salon!! 

Voila Lash Lounge 

I have been going to Voila Lash Lounge for a little while now and have loved visiting their Langley location each time for a set of their classic lashes!! I LOVE that when I have lashes I can literally swipe on some lip balm and head out the door. I look like I’ve had a full nights rest when I’ve barely slept… all thanks to a little wild child in the night. Having lashes make mornings so must faster and on days I’m in the hair and makeup chair, it definitely cuts down on time while also maintaining a fresh, natural look. I like that Voila Lash Lounge customizes your lash look to suit your eyes. I haven’t tried their Microblading just because I’ve been breastfeeding since I’ve started going to Voila Lash Lounge, but you can expect that the technicians will spend time and careful planning to design the perfect brows just for you. It took me until I was in university to understand that the eyebrows frame the face. Once I learnt that, it was a game-changer. 

You can choose any kind of lashes you like, volume, hybrid, classic, the choice is yours!!! And you’ll also have the chance to have your eyebrows microbladed so no need to keep filling them in ladies!!!! I know first hand how much of a time-sucker and a pain in the butt this is in the morning. Both services will help you spend less time in the bathroom and more time enjoying the things you love most, spending time with your family, friends (maybe virtually this year) fun activities, baking, cooking, drinking some rum and egg nog, whatever it is you like to do during the holidays… watching Hallmark Christmas movies (my new fave) all while looking and feeling your best!! I say CHEERS to that!!!
